This course covers all relevant legislation affecting safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture within the workforce.

- Implement new guidance and industry best practice
- state your duties and responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment
Delegates are assessed throughout the course by the Tutor via the syndicate exercises and individual participation.
Summative assessment is provided by a 30-minute, 25 multiple-choice examination
The course lasts two days, 9:00 am – 5 pm daily. The course can be delivered as five consecutive days or one day a week over a two week period
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified, you will be required to pass another refresher course before the expiry date on your current certificate, if the expiry date is exceeded the full course will need to be retaken.
